The Director of Recruiting Admissions / Football is responsible for overseeing the admissions process for Virginia Tech’s football program. This position will coordinate the screening process & ensure all NCAA eligibility requirements & Virginia Tech admission requirements for high school & transfer prospective student athletes are met. This position is vital in ensuring a seamless & compliant admissions process for recruits while supporting the program's recruiting administrative tasks.
The position reports to the Senior Director of Player Personnel / Football. This role is responsible for adhering to all department & university policies & procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws & interpretations of the Atlantic Coast Conference [ACC] & National Collegiate Athletic Association [NCAA].

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with significant experience in a related field, or a master's degree.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Especially Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
Experience using ARMS, Teamworks &/or a similar recruiting/compliance database solution.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to assess, prioritize & execute an array of important tasks around shared priorities; Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within demanding time frames.
Excellent supervisory, interpersonal & organizational skills necessary.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure.
Track record of accountability & follow-through.
Ability to interpret & understand written materials & instructions.
Willingness & desire to create a positive working relationship with other departmental offices & teams.
Commitment to diversity.
Ability to use discretion & maintain all confidentiality.
Excited to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high standards for all work performed.
Experience evaluating transcripts & high school class schedules.
Familiarity with NCAA rules & regulations related specifically to football recruitment & initial eligibility.

Willingness to be curious, learn, ask questions & take initiative to bring value to the program daily.
Previous experience in a similar role within a college football program.
