The Director of Scouting & Player Personnel is responsible for roster management, evaluation of high school and college prospects and oversight of the Football recruiting budget.  Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Roster management, evaluation of high school and college prospects.
• Plan and supervise the 12-month roster projections.
• Plan and execute the 12-month recruiting budget.
• Oversee procedures, protocols and overall operation of high school and transfer evaluations and recruitment.
• Manage and update recruiting boards.
• Oversee creation of daily watch lists and call sheets for coaching staff.
• Monitor and ensure evaluation process/steps are followed by the coaching staff.
• Manage the activities and hours of recruiting students/interns.
• Coordinate with the Director of Football Recruiting on campus visits (official and unofficial).

• Manage and update recruiting boards.
• Oversee creation of daily watch lists and call sheets for coaching staff.
• Monitor and ensure evaluation process/steps are followed by the coaching staff.
• Manage the activities and hours of recruiting students/interns.
• Coordinate with the Director of Football Recruiting on campus visits (official and unofficial).
• Plan and execute itineraries for on-campus visitors.
• Assist with NDSU summer football camps.
• Coordinate prospect sheets for coaching staff.
• Coordinate Head Football Coach’s schedule and placement at prospect camps

Hiring Range:

$55,000-$60,000

Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.  

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS or BA
• 4 years of experience with a Division I football program.
• Previous experience with roster management/player evaluation.
• Evidence of strong communication and organizational skills.
• Evidence of ability to interact positively with student-athletes, parents and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of Teamworks and ARMS.
• 4 years of experience with an FBS Football program.
• Experience supervising staff (professional and student).

Core Competencies:

• Computer/word processing skills.
• Working knowledge of various software packages and social media platforms including Adobe Creative Cloud, Teamworks, ARMS Recruiting, Pro Football Focus, Whistle Recruiting and Catapult Scout.
• Organization skills.
• Communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to build relationships.
