Primary Purpose of Department

Primary Purpose of Position

Provide an environment where student-athletes can succeed both academically and athletically in softball.

Summary of Position Responsibilities

Liaison between department and softball staff (Facilities, marketing, administration, equipment, nutrition, foundation, business office, etc.)

Coordinating team travel with our travel agent

Reconciling team travel and coaches recruiting travel with business office

Organizing prospect camps

Coordinating food for team and staff

Coordinating on-campus recruiting logistics

Ordering equipment with

BSN

(Hardware and Nike)

Processing compliance paperwork – official and unofficial visits

Allocating expendable resources

Organizing inventory

Providing assistance to coaches, visiting teams, and umpires

Working directly with vendors (Rawlings/ Easton,

BSN

, Yakkertech, Blast)

Alumni relations – events and communication

Coordinating fundraising events

Working directly with the athletic foundation on program fundraising items

Supervising undergraduate and graduate student managers

Working directly with the business office on purchasing and budget

Managing state procurement card

Minimum Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree. This position demands a working knowledge of the game of softball and

NCAA

rules and regulations. Excellent computer and organizational skills are essential.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience either in coaching, playing, or involvement with an intercollegiate softball program.
