JOB SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to plan and implement programs in communications, publications and promotions which will advance the visibility of the University’s 20 NCAA DIII intercollegiate athletic programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as official statistician for all home events; responsible for all aspects of SID function for home events (game staff - students and other - for stats, video, PA, webcasting
Complete statistical reports for all sports and distribute to appropriate parties (opponents, conference offices)

Prepare and submit all award nominations for MIAC, WIAC, CoSIDA, and NCAA
Maintain up to date records on all athletic teams
Set up and maintain archive of departmental information and records
Manage a fiscally sound operating budget
Maintain appropriate, professional office hours during the year
Work cooperatively with departmental personnel, attend staff and MIAC meetings and activities, and represent the University positively when interacting with the community, alumni, media, and general public
All other duties as requested
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to: Senior Associate Athletic Director
This position supervises: student workers (10 -15 dependent upon season)
BUDGET MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the following budget: financial analyst for Sports Information operating budget = $13K
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND KEY COMPETENCIES
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience in sports information, broadcast/print journalism, or media relations
