Position Summary
The Director of Sports Medicine is an administrative position within the Department of Athletics and Physical Education, reporting to the Deputy Director of Athletics & Director of Student-Athlete Welfare. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible, 52-week position requiring weekend, holiday, early morning, and late evening hours.
The Director of Sports Medicine will collaborate with the Sports Performance, Health Services, and Counseling Services teams at Vassar to create a safe and healthy environment for student-athletes to perform and achieve at the national level while upholding Vassar's mission to foster an inclusive and transformative student experience. As such, the position will administer and advance a comprehensive Sports Medicine program for Vassar’s 25 Division III varsity and four varsity club programs (approximately 600 student-athletes). The position will also serve as an integral member of the Department of Athletics and Physical Education senior leadership team, function as the NCAA Health Care Administrator, and have the opportunity to provide preceptor guidance for a local ATEP program.

Compensation:
The compensation for this position is $78,000 - $93,000 (USD) per year.
When extending an offer, Vassar College considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, budget, and other market and organizational considerations. The starting salary range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of posting.
