| Job Summary/Basic Function |
About This Role:
The Director of Sports Medicine serves as the NCAA Health Care Administrator to coordinate institutional athletics health care administration and delivery. This position provides oversight of the institution’s autonomous athletics health care administration and delivery, maintains awareness regarding health and safety legislation, provides recommendations on related policy and procedures, and monitors the athletic department’s health and safety practices to ensure compliance with NCAA legislation and consistency with the Association’s best practices. Will have direct supervision of all sports medicine staff on the evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and management of care for athletic injuries while developing and implementing injury reduction programming.
This position may require you to work non-traditional hours, including early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Some travel required. This job is not suitable for remote work.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Master’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field
- 5+ years of experience as a certified Athletic Trainer providing health care for student and/or professional athletes
- Eligible for Texas Athletic Training License
- Current Board of Certification (BOC) and CPR/AED Certifications
