The Director of Football Sports Nutrition will work in collaboration with the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Nutrition in the planning, implementation management and evaluation of the NC State Football Sports Nutrition Program.
Primary responsibilities of the Director of Football Sports Nutrition include:
CLINICAL SPORTS NUTRITION
NUTRITION EDUCATION
FOOD SERVICE MANAGEMENT
APPLIED PERFORMANCE NUTRITION
SPORTS NUTRITION ORGANIZATION AND STAFFING
Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field required.
- 3+ years experience working in the collegiate or professional sports setting.

| Other Required Qualifications |
- Expert practitioner of sports nutrition and dietetics
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master’s degree in nutrition, exercise physiology or a related field (The entry-level RDN educational requirements changed from a baccalaureate degree to a minimum graduate degree in 2024).

- Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) credential in the state of North Carolina or LDN eligible
