The Director of Sports Performance is responsible for providing education, consultation or guidance, expertise, and training in all modalities of physical performance for all scholar-athletes, intercollegiate teams, and other university stakeholders. The Director demonstrates establishing positive, mutually respectful, and effective working relationships with scholar-athletes, coaches, administrators, faculty, alumni, and the public in assisting with all gameday operations, setup and teardown, and game management for all home varsity athletic events, including hiring, training, scheduling, and management of part-time and student personnel to ensure Florida Tech athletics provides a positive experience for all participants and spectators. Maintains the athletic weight room and assists with the inventory and compliance of all equipment in coordination with all university rules and regulations.
Conduct all sports performance testing and monitoring of scholar-athletes, including maintaining and analyzing key data metrics of each individual and team and sharing appropriate information with Sports Medicine and coaching staff.
Collaborates with the Assistant AD of Sports Medicine and Performance on education, resources, and guidance or consultation on recovery components, including nutrition, sleep, and injury reduction techniques and practices for assigned teams and stakeholders.
Updates the Director of Athletics on best practices in the field, equipment needs, and recommended upgrades to provide scholar-athletes with the best possible training experience and improve performance.
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine & Performance and the Director of Athletics
Requirements Include:
Bachelor’s degree required in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, Coaching, Sports Medicine, or sports performance-related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
NSCA-CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or CSCCA (Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association); First Aid/ CPR.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience required in area
Previous experience working in a strength & conditioning, personal training, or athletic training/sports medicine role.

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report
The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information and impose certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.
Florida Tech’s 2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
The numbers provided include crime statistics reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.
The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures, descriptions of prevention and awareness programs, related university procedures and important guidance, and other essential safety information.

Official Transcripts
Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment.
