Candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of the strength and conditioning program. Instill competitiveness via fair play within intercollegiate student-athletes. The candidate will provide expertise, guidance and training in the area of strength training and physical conditioning for all fifteen (15) sports. The candidate will work directly with the head coach of each sport to put together a schedule for strength and condition work out times for each team. Must adhere to all safety standards, ensure well-being of student-athletes and support their physical training.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Design and implement strength training and conditioning program in season, out of season and pre-season for all sports
Keep abreast of changing rules, techniques, technologies, and philosophies relevant to all sports
Work in cooperation with the sports medicine or athletic training staff in the Rehabilitation and strengthening of injured student-athletes
Report progress of all student-athletes to the respective head coach
Responsible for coordinating, scheduling and daily upkeep of all strength and conditioning facilities
Provide the proper supervision of student-athletes to ensure that all student athletes receive the proper instruction on the safe usage of weight machine and free weights
Conduct an annual needs analysis for each sport team in conjunction with the sport coach and the team’s athletic trainer at the conclusion of each sport season
Abide by all NCAA, SWAC and University rules and regulations
Represent the University at clinics, seminars, workshops, etc. as needed

Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology or related field
Two to Five years of strength and training experience on collegiate or high school level
Ability to work effectively with all collegiate personnel, students, alumni and community
Must be knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations
Effective written/oral communication skills
Sound judgment and maturity
Must be a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and/or be Certified by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCAA)
Preferred:
Master’s Degree
Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics
