The Intercollegiate Athletics has an outstanding opportunity for a Director of Ticket Operations to join their team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage three full time staff members. Provide ongoing support and annual performance evaluation. Hire, supervise, and train hourly customer service and ticket office event staff. Manage the hourly staff budget of approximately $100,000.
Resolve customer service issues that are escalated from all ICA staff. Game day responsibilities include customer in-game visits and supporting ticket operations and the Retention and Sales team as needed.
Ticket Operations Manager for Men’s Basketball and Secondary for Football 40%
Manage the ticket operations for Men’s Basketball as well as secondary operations support for Football. This includes season set-up, student sales, single game sales set-up, player guest and recruit admissions, student athlete admissions, box office event management, ADA seat management, away game sales, and post-season sales.
Manage the ticket printing budget and participate in the season ticket design process.
Directly supervise comprehensive event ticket operation for men’s basketball and other sports as assigned which includes: game day sales, will call, overall game day customer service, player guest entrance, recruit entrance, student athlete entrance and ADA seating.
Report event attendance to facilities or athletic communications staff.
Serve as box office director in coordination with facility supervisor, ticket takers, team managers, marketing staff, Tyee Club and all other ICA staff.
This position will have a high level of contact with donors, faculty-staff, students, and the general public, and has the authority to resolve issues independently at events.
Follow proper procedures for closing game day box office and submitting receipts for deposit and settling the event.
Oversee event admittance through the player's guest, recruit and student-athlete entrances in strict compliance with the rules of the NCAA and ICA policies and procedures.
Maintain game folders for each event assuring appropriate information and documentation are completed and on file.
Prepare and balance individual game reports for submission to the Athletics Business Office.
Prepare year-end attendance and revenue reports.
Collaborate with the Business Office to ensure accurate reporting.
Prepare and distribute invoices to visiting teams. Monitor and update the player guest system(s) for proper player’s names, event details and game-by-game entries.
Generate ticket and database reports on an as-needed basis utilizing new business intelligence tools for Ticket Office, Tyee Club, Marketing, and Athletic Communications staff members.
Serve as secondary ICA Ticket Office contact with all ticket system vendors.
Assist in answering multiple Ticket Office phone lines and serving customers at ticket windows when needed.
Maintain and promote positive relations with customers, the public, UW faculty, staff and students.
Serve as a Ticket Office representative and assist ticket operations for some away football games and post season tournament(s).
Provide other ticket service assistance as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Operations.
Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Conference, the State of Washington and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the Employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in hiring, training and managing ticket office staff.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ticket System management including building seasons, season ticket renewals, ticket allocations, processing payments, and running reports.
Complimentary ticket admissions including sign up, allocation and distribution.
Demonstrated budget responsibility for staff management and ticket printing.
Demonstrated success working in a fast paced environment and the ability to multitask.
Candidates should be computer proficient, detail oriented, and enthusiastic about working within a sport-related environment.
Must be able to work non-traditional hours; at games and special events which includes weekends and evenings. Some travel will be required.
Proven ability to work independently and maintain composure under pressure.
Display a genuine desire to help people and customer-focused attitude.
Excellent communication, listening and leadership skills.
Ability to promote and maintain positive relations with donors, faculty, students, and the general public.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Game day or event box office management at a 10,000+ seat facility. Ticket system management experience (Paciolan, Ticketmaster, etc.). College athletics Division 1 level ticketing experience.
