Job Description
PURPOSE
This position will be responsible for implementing a ticket sales plan, increasing revenue generation through a consistent volume of calls and visits, oversight of the box office operations and other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieve monthly and annual activity and sales goals through the implementation of a ticket sales plan developed with the Deputy Director of Athletics and External Team.
Contact area businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments and networking events to sell season, partial plans, individual and group tickets for Islander Athletics.
Call current and past customers and cold-call new sales leads to generate sales.
Oversee box office operations including game days.
Oversee ticket reconciliations, deposits, credit card transactions and petty cash funds.
Work closely with the Associate AD for Business and Finance to ensure all University accounting procedures are properly implemented and followed in the Athletic Ticket Office.
Provide superior customer service to ticket patrons and other stakeholders.
Hire, supervise and train all box office employees.
Manage and maintain the online ticketing platform.
Serve as the main point of contact with ticket staff at the American Bank Center.
Maintain various databases including those related to season ticket patrons and group ticket accounts.
Provide accurate ticketing reports upon request.
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
High school diploma or GED.
Five years of related experience, including two years of related supervisory experience.
Additional education may be considered as a substitute for minimum experience requirement.
Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.
