Department-Specific Responsibilities

• Leads creative content for the football program.
• Serves in the lead role of video production for football by planning, scheduling, and coordinating day-to-day procedures; facilitates internal requests for video.
• Creates content for recruiting materials, social media, in-game content, and on-campus visits.
• Shoots, produces, directs, and edits video content to represent the IU Football brand.

General Responsibilities

• Captures on-location and/or in-studio videography services; shoots, edits, and reviews raw footage and organizes into continuous videos for various marketing and communications needs, audiences, and platforms.
• Maintains video equipment, including editing lab equipment, lenses, lights, and cameras, inventory, and supply ordering; may perform basic equipment repairs, escalating complex issues to Videographer(s) or supervisor.
• Maintains file storage and familiarity with video archive and may recommend videos for use in specific publications, websites, or marketing and communications campaigns.
• Schedules logistics for off-site videography services.
• May direct multi-camera operations.
• May collaborate in broader marketing and communications project teams or committees.
• May provide guidance to other Videography Assistants.

EDUCATION

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

Working Conditions / Demands

This role regularly requires the ability to effectively communicate and to handle equipment. This role frequently requires the ability to remain stationary and ascend/descend ladders/stairs. This role requires the ability to move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The role requires the ability to detect items in close proximity as well as far away; discern between colors; detect objects in peripheral space of self; discern items in detail; and to have good depth perception. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
