The Stanford University Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation is currently accepting applications for the position of Director, Recruiting Creative. This position will serve to advance the student-athlete recruiting efforts of assigned Stanford women’s sports programs through content creation and strategy. This position will work closely with many different external relations units and frequently interface with program staff. Additionally, this position will contribute to the management and advancement of the Home of Champions, Stanford’s physical space celebrating the rich history of Cardinal sports. The successful applicant will be a dynamic and creative storyteller who develops a deep and clear understanding of what makes Stanford University and Stanford Athletics unique and compelling to prospective student-athletes. This is a full-time, exempt position based on the Stanford main campus with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

Summary of essential job functions:
● Assist select women’s sports programs in developing strategies and execution timelines which enhance recruiting efforts.
● Create content which resonates with prospective student-athletes and represents the brand values of Stanford Athletics.
● Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine appropriate distribution mediums, create concepts, plan production, and produce media (including logistics coordination, video shooting, music and sound effect selection, computer graphics, animation, digital effect creation, editing and tape duplication).
● Contribute to the management and development of the Home of Champions.
● Stay up-to-date on industry trends and ensure that Stanford remains at the forefront of the recruiting landscape.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
● Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop.
● Understanding of content strategy and creation
● Good interpersonal skills, judgment, and diplomacy required to interact effectively with and provide customer service to a broad audience.
● Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a collaborative team environment.
● Effective time management skills.
Education & Work Requirements:
● Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
● Five years of direct production and/or motion graphics experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
● Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
● Frequently stand/walk, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, and reach/work above shoulders.
● Occasionally sit, twist/bend/stoop/squat.
● Visual acuity including color vision.
● Ability to obtain and maintain a California Non-commercial Class license.
Working conditions:
● Work on weekends, evenings, holidays, and flexible shifts.
● May have exposure to high voltage electricity, noise > 80dB TWA, confined spaces, and working at heights above 10 feet.

DAPER’s Integrity:
This position, along with all DAPER coaches and staff, is responsible for the integrity of Stanford’s intercollegiate athletics program and for the reputation of Stanford University. This position is responsible for ensuring that his/her/their involvement with Athletics Department activities maintains the integrity of the University’s reputation and does not negatively impact the relationship between the University and its faculty, staff, students and alumni. Additionally, this position must comply with University policies and procedures, NCAA and Pac-12 rules and regulations.
The expected pay range for this position is $72,000 - $85,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
