• Liaison with The University of Tampa Development office.
• Help solicit and create sponsorships.
• Help steward athletic donors.
• Oversee and develop a student marketing group.
• Plans, creates, and executes all promotional elements of athletic events, including but not limited to in-game promotions, presentations, coordinating music and in-game entertainment.
• Develops and implements marketing plans, including the creation, production and oversight of all marketing, advertising, and promotional material.
• Responsible for event management and overseeing game-day staff.
• Determines appropriate budget expenditures and allocations relative to the implementation of marketing plans as well as the fulfillment of sponsorship contracts.
• Collaborates with campus organizations and student population to promote events and involvement.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics, including but not limited to game management.
• Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or other related field.
• At least one (1) year of experience in one or more of the following areas: marketing, game operations or advertising.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience running athletic events and game management.
• Strong familiarity with Adobe programs, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Ability to work irregular/extended hours.
• Knowledge of NCAA compliance rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
• Understanding of working scoreboards and video boards.
• Demonstrated ability working with head coaches and their staff.

Summer: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Ability to work irregular/extended hours required.
