Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular in-office hours. Travel is required.Â
Purpose
Develop and lead programming to successfully enhance Texas Women’s Basketball student-athlete personal brands.  Educate Women’s Basketball student-athletes’ understanding of NIL, personal brands, and market value.  Facilitate connections with student-athletes and community members to promote community engagement and student-athlete brand building. Â
Responsibilities
Develop a nationally-recognized student-athlete brand development program by providing leadership, strategic direction and oversight of education programming and events for student-athletes, including brand building, social media responsibility, financial literacy, professionalism, media training, relationship building, interest and values assessment.
Assist current student-athletes in understanding their market value developing strategies to elevate their brands while discussing the available resources and tools to maximize opportunities.
Actively participate in recruiting and educating prospective student-athletes on applicable rules and policies for student-athlete NIL activities and the available programs and resources provided by Texas Athletics.
Facilitate connections between student-athletes and external parties in accordance with NCAA guidelines.Â
Identify and build collaborative partnerships and relationships across the University and with external partners to deliver programs in support of student-athlete brand development and engagement.Â
Participate in fundraising efforts to support Texas Athletics and any other third-party entities as permitted under NCAA guidelines.Â
Ensure women’s basketball student-athlete NIL activities and partnerships comply with Texas NIL law and NCAA, Conference and Texas Athletics NIL policies and procedures.Â
Assists the Head Women's Basketball Coach, the Associate Head Coach, the Assistant Coaches and other support staff members with other duties as assigned.Â

Actively participate in assigned education and training programs.  Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Conference, or other governing body, including state and federal laws.  Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR.  Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation.  As an employee of the university, if you witness or receive information about sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence or stalking that involves a current student or employee, you have a duty to promptly report the incident to the University’s Title IX Coordinator or a Deputy Title IX Coordinator.  Reports may be made by phone, email or online. Bachelor’s degree and five plus years of relevant experience in student-athlete development, sports business and brand development, contracts, financial literacy and media or a combination of education and relevant experience. Demonstrated understanding of traditional and non-traditional business models, including social media influencing.  Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Strong interpersonal skill and budget management experience. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.  Demonstrated ability to cultivate, build and maintain strong working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives and in promoting and building diverse, equitable, and inclusive teams and programs.  Proven effectiveness in cross-disciplinary collaboration both inside (in other units and functions) and outside the organization.  Demonstrated interest in pursuing continuous personal and professional development activities. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Experience working in collegiate athletics or women’s basketball.  Experience as a student-athlete in collegiate athletics.  Experience working with students or student-athletes in educational settings.  Significant working knowledge of the rules and regulations set forth by the NCAA and a Power 5 Conference with an emphasis on NIL.
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
