Job Description

University of Jamestown is seeking applicants for the position of an E-sports Graduate Assistant (GA). Qualified applicants will assist in fostering a highly competitive and positive team culture where high-quality relationships with fellow coaches and student-athletes are emphasized. The GA will collaborate with the head E-sports coach to assist with general maintenance and development of the E-sports program, specifically in the realms of recruiting and communications. This position is set to start in the Fall of 2026.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Recruiting student-athletes, office duties, and other administration/operational duties as assigned.
  • Assist with official practices and matches. Maintain regular communication with the coach and players as needed.
  • Maintain program communication in spaces like Twitter, Instagram, Discord, and the official UJ website.
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks and special events as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills
  • Competent technical knowledge of common competitive gaming hardware and software.
  • Strong knowledge of at least three of the following titles, and eagerness to fill in the gaps:
