The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Edit Media Specialist II for Athletics. Under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director for Brand Advancement and Assistant Athletic Director for Brand Advancement, Multimedia, this position will collaborate with staff, develop ideas and lead production of new/original content within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics with a focus on women’s basketball and other Olympic sports as assigned. The video content will be created primarily for social media and in-venue use with the ability to repurpose for recruiting. Provides production and post-production support for Creative Services and Marketing, editing sizzle reels, features and promos.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Work directly with the Women’s Basketball Recruiting Coordinator for the ideation, filming and editing of recruiting videos.
Plan and film staged video and photo shoots, as well as follow every recruit around during her official visit through campus, athletic facilities and trips to New York City.
Create a recap as well as other videos and edit photographs of recruits’ visits to present to them on the same day before they leave campus.
Responsible for follow-up collateral that is delivered to recruits weekly to help encourage them to come play for Rutgers Women’s Basketball and grow the program.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum two years of relevant experience.

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Experience working in an NCAA Division I Athletic Department or equivalent of professional level.
- Experience in EFP/remote sports production, equipment setup and troubleshooting.
- Solid grasp of all things technical.
- Experience with cinema-style cameras and lenses.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet assigned deadlines.
- A person in this role must have ability to operate under tight windows.
- This role requires someone with an ability to digest and prioritize tasks in order of importance to deliver results, while staying up-to-date on the latest basketball and marketing trends and industry changes.
- The job will require someone with an ability to conceptualize, design and create video materials with an understanding of specific audiences.
- Must perform duties with the highest standard of professionalism and ethical behavior and in accordance with University, Departmental, Big Ten or other affiliated Conference and NCAA regulations, policies and procedures.
