Job Description:
Berry College invites applications and nominations for the position of graduate assistant equestrian coach.
Reporting to the Head Equestrian Coach, the successful candidate will assist the head coach with the organization, supervision, and administration of an NCEA & IHSA Division III intercollegiate program. The candidate will also demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, Division III athletics, and an appreciation for and commitment to all IHSA, NCEA, and institutional rules and regulations.
The candidate should also possess strong communication skills, leadership and mentoring abilities, and the ability to foster a culture that is both disciplined and caring. Other duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; practice and show preparation/management; compliance; equipment management; working horses; and a commitment to student-athletes' academic progress and degree completion.
This position includes a $9,000 stipend over 10 months, as well as graduate school tuition for our two-year MBA program.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and admission into the Master of Business Administration program at Berry are required.
Previous experience competing at the collegiate level is preferred.
