Position Summary

Assist the equipment staff in maintaining and organizing equipment for any sport to which assigned. Interact with coaching staff and student athletes as directed to ensure all equipment is fitted properly.

Conditions of Employment

• Subject to evening, weekend and holiday work.

• Subject to occasional travel.

• This position is a temporary (hourly) position. All hourly employees are subject to the limitations of the Virginia Manpower Control Program and total hours worked may not exceed on average 29 hours per week, over the course of a twelve month period beginning May 1 each year.

• This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Competencies:

• Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.

• Computer skills, i.e., basic to intermediate skill level in Excel, Word, Powerpoint.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment to include working with the public and interdepartmental personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred.
