The Athletic Equipment Manager oversees all aspects of athletic equipment operations, including purchasing, inventory control, maintenance, storage, and distribution for all university sports teams. This role supervises equipment staff and student workers while managing daily operations such as laundry services, repairs, uniform distribution, and event preparation.
The position serves as a liaison to vendors, purchasing sources, and Information Technology, while coordinating data collection, maintaining electronic records, and preparing reports. Responsibilities also include managing budgets, capital expenditures, and equipment replacement schedules.
Additionally, the manager supports athletic event operations by coordinating facility setup, staffing, and game-day logistics; assisting with ticketing, security, and promotions; and serving as host for visiting teams and officials. The role involves oversight of athletic facilities, ensuring safe and functional conditions, and contributing to setup and tear down for practices, competitions, and special events.
Other duties include supervising inventory systems, approving purchases and deliveries, maintaining equipment and facilities, coordinating laundry services, assisting with facility planning, and supporting various departmental and campus events. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and travel with teams as needed.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- One year experience in stock room, warehouse, athletics equipment or equivalent work;
- Experience working in a Microsoft environment;
- Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information, OR
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate’s Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
- Successful performance of an on-campus interview is required.
