Esports Assistant Coach to help coach one of five teams; League of Legends, Rocket League, Overwatch 2, Smash Bros. Ultimate, and VALORANT. The Assistant Coach will work directly with one of these teams, attending matches, practices, and video reviews for the team; providing constructive feedback; setting the overarching strategic vision of the team; working individually with players to enhance their skills in both mechanics and communication styles; and managing the roster and team compositions.
Job Description

The Assistant Coach will work directly with one of these teams, attending matches, practices, and video reviews for the team; providing constructive feedback; setting the overarching strategic vision of the team; working individually with players to enhance their skills in both mechanics and communication styles; and managing the roster and team compositions. Miami University recognizes that technology enables us to find new ways of providing first class service and workplace flexibility. This position is approved for remote work on a full-time basis with occasional meetings on the Oxford, Ohio campus. Remote work is a working arrangement that can be modified or revoked by Miami University at any time for any reason.
The position requires working matches along with scrim and VOD review blocks. The position can be remote, but the individual must attend all events unless explicitly excused. It is essential to remain in weekly communication with the Varsity Esports Leadership Team.
Miniumum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least one competitive collegiate or competitive season gaming experience
Consideration may be given to applicants with experience in managing teams in Esports Collegiate Conference (MAC), CLoL, CVAL, and CRL.
