EVENT OPERATIONS POST GRADUATE INTERN

An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:
Assist with the day-to-day gameday management of assigned athletics events to include, but is not limited to, pre-event planning and breakdown of facilities, compliance with NCAA, Big 12 and ADA policies and procedures, coordination of officials and visiting teams, crowd control management, game management, establishing relationships and procedures with law enforcement, EMS and other emergency personnel, implement venue policy and procedures. Ensure excellent customer service.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outside in extreme weather conditions.
Must possess a valid driver's license at all times.

Organize, direct, coordinate, evaluate and schedule part-time workers for athletics events
Interview, hire and train a large number of part-time event workers.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree by hire date
Two years of event management experience at a collegiate or professional sports level
Must have strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Must be able to work in a team environment and individually
Must have excellent customer service skills, leadership and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working at an NCAA division I athletic department in event and game day operations
Other Requirements:
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
Must possess a valid driver's license at all times

$12.50 per hour (approximately $26,000 yearly (plus paid overtime) in the first year; potential to earn $14.00 (approximately $29,120 yearly plus paid overtime) after completion of first year with a successful review and budget approval. Paid biweekly (26 pay periods).
