Reporting directly to the Director of Athletics, the Assistant to the Director of Athletics and Special Project Manager (ADA & SPM) provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The ADA & SPM serves as the primary contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the Director of Athletics. The ADA & SPM also serves as a liaison to the department’s executive management team and University leadership; organizes and coordinates executive communications and internal, external and development relations efforts; and oversees special projects.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Sitting for prolonged periods of time at a computer terminal.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Minimum Education/Experience
· Bachelors degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Experience working in a business environment that requires effective interpersonal and communications skills to create and maintain professional collaborative working relationships.
· Experience managing electronic calendars, as well as scheduling and coordinating large, complex meetings, conferences and special events
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
· Strong organization and time management skills. Ability to prioritize, exercise good judgement and manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
Preferred Education/Experience
· Master’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
· Familiarity with UC Davis campus-wide offices, administrative contacts, campus structure and resources.
· Knowledge of Intercollegiate Athletics.
· Knowledge of UC Davis purchasing policies as well as travel and entertainment policies.
