Lead and execute the fundraising efforts related to Lipscomb University’s D1 athletics programs.
Lead and oversee all aspects of the National Bison Club that result in a vibrant program with increasing financial support for D1 athletics.
Partner with the AVP of Annual Giving, Alumni and Parent Engagement on annual giving strategies including Giving Day and events that engage alumni and friends.
Partner with Athletics, including the Athletic Director and the coaches in developing and executing fundraising strategies.
Manage portfolio of annual giving prospects for athletics and the National Bison Club.
Manage portfolio of 100 - 150 households of major gift prospects.
Develop solicitation strategies by identifying and prioritizing top prospective donors, creating plans for engaging donors with the university, and establishing
strong relationships which lead to major gifts.
Develop and implement strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects.
Prepare and present proposals, gift agreements, and other materials needed to secure major gifts.
Be accountable to metrics towards fundraising goals.
Represent Lipscomb University at events, meetings, and conferences to promote fundraising initiatives and engage with donors.
Qualifications/Experience :
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in major gift fundraising or related fields, preferably in higher education or nonprofit sector.
Proven track record of successfully soliciting and closing major gifts.
Proven track record of building and growing successful programs.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire donors and stakeholders.
Commitment to the mission and values of Lipscomb University.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to articulate the case for support to inspire “buy in” to the vision/mission/goals of the University that lead to gifts.
