The Executive Director, Football Personnel works directly with the Head football coach to manage, organize, and plan all aspects of recruiting activities, including planning and logistical support for official and unofficial visits, management of all athletic identification activities, maintenance of database, rosters, offers, and yearly calendar, and facilitation of communication with prospective athletes.

The Exec. Director, Football Personnel ensures adherence to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations and evaluates and ensures the character of recruits, recruitment personnel, and the University football program.

The Executive Director, Football Personnel works directly with the Head football coach to manage, organize, and plan all aspects of recruiting activities, including planning and logistical support for official and unofficial visits, management of all athletic identification activities, maintenance of database, rosters, offers, and yearly calendar, and facilitation of communication with prospective athletes.

The Exec. Director, Football Personnel ensures adherence to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations and evaluates and ensures the character of recruits, recruitment personnel, and the University football program.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Directs and coordinates prospect visit information, including prospect name and information, guest(s), visit date(s) etc.
• Generates and maintains relationships with University travel coordinator to facilitate recruiting travel logistics.
• Manages and supervises the athletic identification processes and evaluations, including- film evaluations, rankings, and boards.
• Builds, updates, and maintains ARMS database recruiting board.
• Supervises the Offensive and Defensive Personnel managers/coordinators and works with coordinators to create area/positional evaluation lists.
• Directs and coordinates all processes relating to NCAA eligibility and admissions.
• Purchases and manages NCAA compliant recruiting services and serves as the liaison between recruiting support staff and the compliance department. Assists Head Coach with Athletic Evaluations and identifies prospects at camps. Assesses and grades priority prospects game tape.
• Assists with gathering of prospects character evaluations and manages all character evaluations.
• Maintains scholarship/roster numbers at the direction of the Head Coach and organizes and tracks all Miami Football offers.
• Plans and executes recruiting plan and procedures in conjunction with recruiting support staff.
• Maintains the yearly Recruiting Calendar to include planning, scheduling, and organizing recruiting-related meetings and recruiting personnel assignments.
• Organizes and directs Head and assistant coaches recruiting schedules during contact and evaluation periods with assistance of personnel managers/coordinators.
• Maintains familiarity with websites, news sources, recruiting services, and other recruiting resource providers.
• Assists Head Coach with all recruiting communications: Letters, Texts and Phone Calls and coordinates the communication of recruiting information to assistant coaches.
• Manages and communicates current roster attrition with internal operations staff (i.e., compliance, football ops, academics, etc.)
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM

Department Specific Functions

1. Serve in an advisory role to the Head Football coach on all aspects of the football program assisting in providing quality control.
   · Serve as a sounding board for head Coach
   · Serve as a resource for staff
   · Provide assessments of all aspect of program to assist head coach (including recruiting, film breakdown, player development and discipline, operational insights, etc.

2. Provide assistance and advice to the head coach regarding team dynamics, team culture and team building. Serve as a mentor and a resource for student-athletes.

3. Assist and advice head coach and recruiting staff regarding recruiting, as permissible under NCAA rules.

4. Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference, institutional and departmental rules.

5. All other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach, Football Recruiting Coordinator or the Deputy Athletic Director.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
