The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Facilities & Business Assistant for Athletics. The Facilities & Business Assistant assist both the Athletics Facilities/Ops staff and the Athletics Business Office staff in various capacities. On the Operations end, the position will provide event coverage for various sports and outside rental events as needed. They will also provide event/scheduling support for Rodkin Academic Success Center Multi-Purpose Room.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Support the Administrative functions around outside rental events (including Camps/Clinics) including preparing rental contracts, preparing operational notes, tracking on expenses/rental payments, and assisting with preparing final invoices for renters.
Assist the Athletics Business Office with preparing Purchase Orders related to Facilities & Operations and will also follow-up with vendors for invoices for work performed on those Purchase Orders and will assist with reconciling larger Facilities vendors billing accounts were possible.
Assist with the preparation/execution of game contracts as well as the logging of those contracts.

- High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant event operations and/or clerical experience.
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
