Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Building and Grounds Supervisor, a Facilities Technician III inspects, maintains, and repairs specialized equipment and executes general maintenance for the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department's facilities, including but not limited to Camp Randall Stadium, the McClain Center, the Field House, and Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

This position works independently and in teams to ensure the functionality, cleanliness, and safety of buildings, grounds, and equipment while using established standards of preventative maintenance to avoid future damage. The position will also assist trades (masonry, plumbing, electrical, etc.) with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed. This position will independently maintain a designated area of the stadium as a lead worker while also assisting fellow employees and contributing to event set-ups.

Responsibilities:

Inspects, maintains, and repairs specialized equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards and to prevent further damage. Assists with construction, design and operational maintenance as needed. - 30% Utilizes specialized equipment to repair and maintain complex machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation - 25% Performs routine and non-routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness - 20% Troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and procedures - 20% Receives, inspects, inventories, and distributes deliveries independently to appropriate entities - 5% Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by staffing needs and events.

Full Time: 100%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% University Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
