The Football Quality Control Assistant, Special Teams administratively supports the special teams coaching staff under the supervision and direction of the respective assistant football coach in the areas of recruiting, analytics, practice planning, game planning and football research and development projects. This role administratively supports the execution of prospect recruitment, meetings, practices, and games within NCAA guidelines.All the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of the United States Military Academy (“USMA”), Army West Point Athletic Association Inc. (“AWPAA”), the American Athletic Conference (“Conference”), and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (“NCAA”).

Football Quality Control Assistant, Special Teams is counted on to work independently and make decisions in reviewing and collecting data, development of practice and game plans, on-campus evaluation of prospect video and on-campus activities involving selection of prospective cadet-athletes, and progression of analytic and research projects. Work is reviewed and approved by coaches (often working directly together) with expectations established and problems addressed as they arise.

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
Frequently moves boxes/equipment weighing up to up to 30 lbs. around the office and across campus for various events.
The person in this position frequently communicates with recruiting staff, coaches, and cadets to enhance their performance. Must be able to exchange accurate information with all parties and develop trusting relationships.
Must be able to detect performance issues from long distances.
Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
Long hours and work on weekends will be customary to this position.
Travel
This position must be able to travel to home and away competitions with overnight hotel stay as well as occasional professional development events.

Pay Range
$42,000 - $48,000
Sign-on bonus based on policy.

AWPAA expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would AWPAA consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
