Athletic Operations - Summer: June – August Fall: September – December Spring: January- May Includes weekends and evenings (flexible)

Reports To: Director of Athletic Operations & Special Events, Internship Program Supervisor; Primary Function: LIU, an NCAA Division I member of the Northeast Conference (NEC), is accepting students with work-study for employment positions in athletic operations.

Including, but not limited to:

• Assistance with the set-up, operation, and breakdown of the department's 16 varsity athletic program events

• Working closely with internal and external constituencies during home athletic contests

• Special event planning and management

• Ticket, merchandise sales, sideline crew and scoreboard operations

• Facility maintenance and preparation for special events

• Use scheduling software to plan and input all data to coordinate staff and event personnel

• Execute various administrative tasks

• General office duties for department staff and head coaches as assigned Background Requirements:

• Must possess a strong work ethic and eagerness to work in the sports industry.

• The student-worker is required to work nights, weekends, and extended hours (when available).
