Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Compliance Coordinator serves as a key leader in the Office of Financial Aid, responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with NCAA Division I regulations governing financial aid and athletics programs. This position will assist the Senior Associate Director with interpreting and implementing Title IV and state financial aid regulations to ensure compliance with all requirements.

Compliance Monitors and ensures compliance with NCAA Division I regulations governing financial aid and athletics programs. Assists the Senior Associate Director with interpreting and implementing Title IV and state financial aid regulations to ensure compliance with all requirements. Stays updated on changes and updates to NCAA Division I, Title IV, and state regulations and communicates these changes to relevant university stakeholders. Develops and maintains policies and procedures related to financial aid compliance, ensuring alignment with NCAA and federal regulations. Assists in the preparation and submission of required NCAA and federal reports related to financial aid compliance. Collaborates with university athletics departments to provide guidance on compliance matters related to financial aid. Assists the Senior Associate Director with regular audits and reviews of athletics, Title IV, state, and institutional financial aid processes and documentation to identify and address compliance issues.

Reconciliation Leads office in the support of the Senior Associate Director in maintaining fund reconciliation records between the Financial Aid Office, Controller¿s Office, and external systems on a monthly basis.

Leadership Serves as a resource for university staff, coaches, and student-athletes regarding compliance questions and concerns.

Training and Risk Management Coordinates training sessions and workshops for university staff and athletics personnel on NCAA and Title IV compliance topics. Works closely with the Financial Aid leadership team and other university administrators to develop strategies for maintaining compliance and mitigating risks.

Knowledge:
Understanding of federal and state financial aid regulations (e.g., Title IV, Higher Education Act, FERPA). Familiarity with the specific financial aid policies, procedures, and guidelines of the university. Knowledge of various financial aid programs such as grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study. Awareness of compliance standards and best practices in higher education financial aid administration. Proficiency in managing and analyzing data related to financial aid eligibility, disbursement, and reporting. Experience with financial aid management software (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft) and databases.

Display a high attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work in a fast-paced and continuous change work environment. Ability to analyze complex financial aid data and identify trends or discrepancies. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with students, parents, faculty, and staff effectively. Capability to resolve compliance issues and discrepancies in financial aid processes. Accuracy in reviewing financial aid applications, documents, and reports. Skill in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing workload, and meeting deadlines.
