Department Purpose
Financial Aid and Scholarships office (FAS) provides prospective and enrolled student with information and resources to financially support their educational goals. FAS manages funds totaling more than 600 million dollars from a variety of funding sources in the form of grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study. This position resides in the Undergraduate and Prestigious Scholarship office, part of Financial Aid and Scholarships, which administers over 500 scholarship programs, totaling more than 12 million dollars, in addition to administering athletic aid. It also works with Inter-Collegiate Athletics to help administer athletic aid. This position reports to the Assistant Director.
Job Summary
The Scholarship Program Manager will independently manage all aspects of administering athletic grant in aid per NCAA and financial aid regulations. Provides comprehensive advice and guidance to students, parents and the general public regarding financial aid, scholarship programs and athletic grant in aid. Process, adjust and reconcile financial aid, undergraduate scholarships and athletic Grant-In-Aid awards. Determine eligibility for financial aid and scholarship programs and ensure that aid is available in a timely manner; make exceptions to Federal, State and University financial aid policies and procedures. Manage special programs and activities. communicate, guide and perform periodic audits to ensure compliance, develop and implement written procedures/instructions; plan and accomplish assigned goals, review progress and evaluate results. Provide back-up support to Financial Aid and Scholarship staff with processing.
