Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate for this position will manage the ongoing financial and operational activities of Belmont Abbey Athletics. This would include:

• Monthly financial reporting, reconciliation, review, and analysis of budgets
• Provide financial advice and/or recommendations to senior administration
• Budget preparation including tracking of historical trends, knowledge of the market and its impact on departmental revenues, foundation accounts, and managing the chart of accounts
• Departmental support for NCAA postseason budget submission and reporting, championship reimbursement submission.
• Resource person for all University policy and procedure issues related to financial transactions, and travel submissions
• Oversight and auditing of accounts receivable balances

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree, 3-5+ years of similar executive financial leadership or athletic administration or related field experience required. A background in financial planning, strategic planning, analysis, revenue generation and modeling as well as financial reporting required. Previous experience in business leadership roles within higher education and/or the sports industry is very helpful and a proven track record of setting and achieving high financial goals and objectives.
