Oversees the campus fitness center and manages the comprehensive strength, speed, and conditioning programs for all NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletic teams
Essential Job Functions
Collaborates with coaches and sports medicine to design, implement, and assess strength and conditioning programs for the varsity athletics programs
Maintains compliance with current NCAA strength and conditioning regulations to implement standards and guidelines for strength and conditioning
Provides instruction, supervision, and education to student athletes to promote safe training practices, injury prevention, and long-term athletic development focused on enhancing athletic performance
Oversees the daily operations of the on-campus fitness centers including managing the hiring, training, and scheduling of student employees
Administers the university fitness centers guidelines for safety and cleanliness and maintains compliance with these procedures
Makes recommendations on equipment purchases and maintenance for the fitness centers
Monitors the departmental budget
Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree
Moderate amount of experience with fitness and strength and conditioning or other related experience
First Aid, CPR, AED certification, or willingness to attain such certification(s) upon hire
Strength and Conditioning Certification through an accredited program (NSCA or CSCAA)

Qualified candidates must live or relocate to live within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
