Crew members must possess technical knowledge, physical stamina, and attention to detail.

Essential Functions:
The primary responsibility is to assist game officials in marking the line of scrimmage and the line to gain using specialized sideline equipment, under the direct supervision of the officials.
• To serve as the official group responsible for managing the down markers and the 10-yard chain to indicate the line of scrimmage and the required distance for a first down.
• To follow instructions from game officials, particularly the Head Linesman, to maintain accurate and timely placement of the equipment.
• Set up, inspect, and accurately place the down marker and chains according to official instructions.
• Move quickly and accurately to reset the down marker and chains after each play, ensuring they are in alignment with the ball.

• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned or as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• A good understanding of football rules and regulations, particularly concerning downs and distances.
• Display effective skills in teamwork, good coordination, and the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to run, walk, and stand for extended periods and maintain the physical pace of the game.
