The Opportunity:
As the Football Director of Performance Nutrition, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing high quality nutrition related programming and services offered to WSU football student athletes that promotes performance, health, and well-being. You will work closely with the Associate Athletics Director for Performance Nutrition and Student Athlete Dining, as well as the Football Sports Performance team to ensure high quality holistic comprehensive care is provided to WSU student athletes. You will also work closely with the Director of Gray W Dining to coordinate football meal schedules, menus, and requests. You will serve as the primary nutrition contact for football coaches and support staff, executing effective communication skills.
Your primary duties will include but are not limited to: conducting individual student athlete performance nutrition and/or medical nutrition therapy consultations, documenting and updating student athlete related nutrition information, providing research supported performance nutrition education via team talks, staff presentations, etc., conducting individual nutrition related field analysis (i.e., sweat test analysis), attending and providing nutrition services at training sessions, practices, and competition, overseeing all nutrition related duties (i.e. pre, intra, post fueling setup, USG testing, menu development, coordinating catering) for home, away, post season, and spring games, conducting and/or interpreting body composition analysis, conducting cooking demonstrations, supplement review and approval, and daily oversight of football nutrition facilities and hourly staff.
You will be required to follow State, University, Department, NCAA, Conference, and CDR requirements and guidelines.

This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $5,271 to $7,082 | Range 56 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Master’s Degree with major in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition or Food Service Administration from an accredited dietetics program.
Current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a minimum of 2 years (24 months) of work experience as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in one or a combination of the following: Division I collegiate performance nutrition program, professional sports performance nutrition program, sports performance unit within a medical entity, and/or tactical performance nutrition program.
Within 2 months of hire, must have the ability to obtain a Washington State Dietitian Certification.
Within 3 months of hire, ability to sit for the Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) exam.
Must have the ability to travel with the team and work nights and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of experience working in a Division I and/or Professional football performance nutrition program.
Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD).
Experience working within and Electronic Medical/Health Records System, and/or Teamworks platform.
Work experience that demonstrates strong computer knowledge in Microsoft Office programs.
Experience that demonstrates ability to work successfully with a diverse student athlete population and staff.
Work experience that demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
