Salary/Grade: EXS/32

Target hiring range for this position will be between $49,850-$52,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Job Summary:

The purpose of the Graduate Assistant is to help in all phases of a successful Football Program including, but not limited to, film breakdown, data entry, advance scouting, practice planning and execution, coaching and recruiting. This position will allow you to utilize your skills on the job, and in the classroom, as you pursue your master’s degree. Morning, evening, and weekend hours as dictated by practice, games, recruiting and other football related events are required.

Specific Responsibilities :

· Assists the head coach or designated coordinator with coaching and training the Northwestern football team.

· Assists the head coach or coordinator with recruiting prospective student-athletes.

· Assists with the psychological preparation of team in both pre-game and post-game; and for developing motivational approach to practice and games.

· Graduate Assistants are limited in the scope of activities that involve prospect aged students that they may engage in. All such activities must be pre-approved by the Compliance Office in advance. Under no circumstances may a Graduate Assistant provide private lessons to any prospect, regardless of gender or sport, who has started classes for the ninth grade.
