The Offensive Coordinator for Football coach reports to the Head Football coach and the Director of Athletics. The Offensive Coordinator for football will assist the Head Football Coach in all areas of coaching, leadership, film, scouting, recruiting, academic and conduct monitoring, and strength and conditioning. The Offensive Coordinator for Football is responsible for all offensive operations and the performance of the football team. This is a full-time, 11-month exempt position. Other administrative responsibilities will be assigned.

Attendance at all pre-season activities, practices, scrimmages, and games.

Involvement with the evaluation of student-athletes at practice and in games.
Creation of weekly game plans for the offense.
Responsible for daily meetings with position group assigned and video breakdown of practice and game film.

Assist with coaching various aspects of the Special Team’s unit.
Lead the football program’s academic mentoring program.
Implement the basic principles and policies of the athletic governing bodies (NCAA/CCC) and Husson University
Assist in monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes to ensure they are meeting academic course requirements and providing guidance and instruction to students to ensure success.
Assist in monitoring the conduct of the student-athletes and leading by example the core values of the football program.
Assist with all aspects of recruiting to include on-campus tours, social media communication, phone calls, texts, front rush and Verified software management.
Travel off-campus to visit high schools and attend recruiting events including summer camps, showcases, recruiting nights and games. Will be responsible for recruiting a geographic region assigned by the Head Coach which will include extensive travel at various times of the calendar year.
Assist with strength and conditioning and provide general instruction and supervision in the athletic weight room.
Responsible to the Head Coach for all related assignments concerning the football program and other athletic department tasks assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Knowledge of the Microsoft office suite and Hudl video software a must.
Three years of successful coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level is required. Proven experience as collegiate athlete, coaching experience at the intercollegiate level, experience playing or coaching the Quarterback position at the collegiate level and certification from a recognized strength and conditioning certification is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Working knowledge of the fundamentals and strategies of coaching offensive players in the sport of Football. The ability to work with Front Rush and Verified recruiting software. Must have basic knowledge of using Hudl video editing software as well as the Microsoft Office Suite. Must possess the ability to work in a fast paced and competitive environment.
Must possess the skills to function well in a variety of support roles that interact positively with the administration, faculty, coaching staff, student-athletes and other on-campus and off-campus communities.
Must have the ability to travel off-campus extensively at various times of the year to recruit student-athletes to Husson. Extensive travel in December, May and June.
The normal work environment includes outdoor weather conditions daily regarding both practices and games.
