Position Summary: The assistant men’s soccer coach will help the Head Men’s Soccer Coach with
the development and administration of a successful program. The assistant coach for men’s soccer
will help disciple the team and will work with the Head Men’s Soccer Coach regarding the
direction of the program.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of soccer rules and practices
Working knowledge of NAIA eligibility and compliance
Ability to assist with travel arrangements and to travel with team
Effective communication skills (written, oral and interpersonal)
Ability to prepare for and conduct practice
Assist in discipleship of student athletes
Assist in recruitment of student athletes
Support the academic progress of student athletes
Must be able to handle emergencies involving students
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledgeable in all aspects of soccer, computer proficient, Able
to meet/exceed recruiting goals, goalkeeper experience preferred, but not required. Able to
maintain and work within a budget, Able to recruit and develop players, Able to coordinate and
schedule proficient training sessions.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements of the Job: Must be able to physically run a practice
session, works outside a majority of the time, must be able to be able to drive to meet the
requirements of recruiting.
