The Assistant Sports Information Director will be under the direct supervision of the Director of
Athletic Marketing and Communications and then the Vice President for Student Life and
Athletics. The primary responsibility for this position will be sports information, serving as a
primary contact for a portion of the athletic teams. This position will also have duties related to the
department of athletic marketing and communications including but not limited to:
Management of Athletic Student Workers
Game Day Operations
Game Recaps
Athletic Website Data Entry
Athletic Game Day Promotions
Statistical Entries
Other Duties as Assigned within the Athletic Department
Game Day Social Media Platform Posts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledgeable in athletics, Computer proficient, Able to follow
direction and manage time well, Able to delegate properly to student workers, able to learn statistical
software, and follow the vision and direction of TMU Athletics
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s required.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements of the Job: Must be able to lift 50 pounds and setup as
needed for game day events and activities, This position works inside and outside to adequately cover
athletic events, Must have flexibility with scheduling to meet the requirements of the home athletic
schedules.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
