The Department of Athletics invites applicants to apply for temporary, contractual, Assistant Coach positions. The positions will report to the Head Coach for the sport as identified when interviewed. Resumes will be reviewed as needed for each season on a continual basis. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal background check.
Assist with organizational duties and the development of training and practice schedules, Teaching, evaluating and refining sport specific skill development for student-athletes, Recruitment of qualified student-athletes within university and Division I NCAA guidelines. Perform other related duties as assigned.
25-0000 Education, Training, and Library Occupations
Baccalaureate degree. Two years experience coaching at the collegiate or high school level and/or competitive personal playing experience. Must have a First Aid and CPR certification or obtain them during the 90 day Introductory Period. Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with the university’s Motor Vehicle policy. A MVC check will be required at the time of hire and thereafter as deemed appropriate by the university. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the MVC check. Must be willing to travel and be available to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as required.
· National Red Cross Certification · Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
First Aid and CPR certification or obtain them during the 90 day Introductory Period.
