SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Manager of Grounds and Athletic Services
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Student Workers
SHIFT: Tuesday - Saturday, Day Shift (Optional Monday through Friday when classes are not in session)
POSITION SUMMARY: With minimal supervision, perform a broad range of tasks and duties associated with landscaping and grounds maintenance activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required to participate in a rotating one-week duration 'on-call' system related to ice and snow events.
Comply with all safety procedures and work guidelines encountered in the maintenance and operation of institutional buildings and built and natural environments. Communicate issues to managers or supervisors; actively participate in training activities, seminars and safety meetings.
Position is designated as 'essential personnel' and is required to provide various duties and maintenance services 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as required during institutional closures, and duties related to emergencies, scheduled and unscheduled events.
