Goalkeeper Graduate Assistant, Women's Soccer

Position Summary

The role of the Graduate Assistant Goalkeeper Coach is to assist with the daily functions of the women’s soccer program. All Coaching staff are expected to dress in a professional manner. The coach will be provided with game day and practice gear. During practices shorts and shirts are appropriate but attempt to distinguish yourself from the players as much as possible. Tennis Shoes, cleats, and indoor shoes are the expect footwear for games and practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In Season

1. Designing and implementing specific practice elements.
2. Attend all games and training dates.
3. Fostering and building good relations with players (be a friend not a buddy).
4. Helping to set up or tear down the field on game days and tearing it down, this usually means being ½ to 1 hour early prior to field players arrival and departure.
5. Help with assessment and ranking of players.
6. Help with the end of season evaluations of goalkeepers
7. Pick up sack lunches when requested on game days.
8. Help with Recruiting when necessary.
9. Help with Scheduling games

9. Help with Scheduling games
10. Send out game contracts to the opposing team
11. Attend recruitment weekends.
12. Keep Athletic Trainers and other Coaching staff updated with observed injuries or fatigue.
13. Help with game scheduling if necessary.
14. Help with scouting an opposing team.

Off Season

1. Assist with Recruiting (be at all recruit weekends)
2. Assist with Concessions and Fund Raising
3. Provide a consistent training program for the Goal Keepers
4. Be present for training sessions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

1. A lifestyle in agreement with the ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant.
2. Must complete NAIA Coaching Module
