Position Summary

The role of the Graduate Assistant Goalkeeper Coach is to assist with the daily functions of the women’s soccer program. All Coaching staff are expected to dress in a professional manner. The coach will be provided with game day and practice gear. During practices shorts and shirts are appropriate but attempt to distinguish yourself from the players as much as possible. Tennis Shoes, cleats, and indoor shoes are the expect footwear for games and practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In Season

  1. Designing and implementing specific practice elements.
  2. Attend all games and training dates.
  3. Fostering and building good relations with players (be a friend not a buddy).
  4. Helping to set up or tear down the field on game days and tearing it down, this usually means being ½ to 1 hour early prior to field players arrival and departure.
  5. Help with assessment and ranking of players.
  6. Help with the end of season evaluations of goalkeepers
  7. Pick up sack lunches when requested on game days.
  8. Help with Recruiting when necessary.
  9. Help with Scheduling games
