Mayville State University is seeking a motivated and dedicated Graduate Assistant to serve as an Assistant Softball Coach. This 10-month position provides hands-on coaching experience while supporting the academic and athletic mission of the university. The successful candidate will assist the head coach in all aspects of the softball program and contribute to a positive, competitive, and student-centered team environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist the head coach in all aspects of the softball program
Recruit qualified student-athletes in all aspects of the game
Assist with daily coaching, practice planning, and player development
Support home game operations, including set-up and take-down
Assist with field maintenance and facility upkeep
Build strong, positive relationships with student-athletes to enhance their collegiate experience

Minimum Qualifications
College softball or baseball experience
Strong commitment to student-athlete development, academic success, and program integrity
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Compensation
$7,000 for the 10-month appointment (August 1 – May 31)
