The Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant at Rivier University plays a vital role in promoting the Raiders’ 13 NCAA Division III programs that compete in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC). This position is responsible for game coverage, digital storytelling, social media execution, and graphic design, while helping to enhance the visibility and brand of Rivier Athletics and continued and enhance the student-athlete experience.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced collegiate athletics environment with a strong foundation in sports information, digital media, and content creation.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned sports; write recaps, previews, and features
• Manage statistics and live scoring (NCAA LiveStats/Genius Sports, PrestoStats, PrestoRecordbook)
• Support game day operations, including live stats and streaming workflows (Production Truck software)
• Create graphics and video content (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Gipper)

• Manage social media (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook), including live coverage
• Maintain athletics website (Sidearm Sports) and publish content
• Assist with press releases, game notes, and award submissions
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree; acceptance into a Rivier graduate program required
• Experience with Sidearm Sports, NCAA LiveStats (Genius Sports), PrestoStats, PrestoRecordbook
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Gipper
• Strong understanding of Instagram, Twitter/X, and Facebook
• Experience with Hudl and Production Truck software preferred
• Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
• Availability for nights and weekends
