Graduate Assistant/Athletic Operations
Cameron University
The Cameron University Athletic Department seeks candidates for the position of Graduate Assistant/Athletic Operations (two openings) starting Fall 2024. This position will report to the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities & Events, and is responsible for assisting with the supervision of all athletic events and facilities.
Package/Compensation :
Full graduate school tuition and mandatory fees, on-campus housing, $200 monthly stipend.
Job Description
· Serves as game administrator for select home contests
· Oversees game management for several varsity sports
· Serves as liaison for visiting teams and officials
· Assists with scheduling practices and events in all athletic facilities
· Assists Athletic Communications with game day needs
· Ensures coaches’ needs concerning facility & operational issues are met, troubleshoot game day issues regarding event operations
· Assists with managing all athletic/special events (staffing, facility & event set-up, scheduling)
· Submits work orders with Physical Facilities regarding maintenance, grounds, and custodial needs
· Communicates event logistics & needs to Office of Public Safety
· All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
Ability to be admitted into a Cameron Graduate Program
Preferred experience as a student athlete or in Facilities & Events Operations
May require heavy lifting up to 50+ pounds
Excellent management, leadership, and communication skills is a must.
