Summary of Job Duties: Graduate Assistant - Athletics Facilities/Sports Technology will obtain valuable experience in the Facilities and Technology departments within Arkansas Athletics. This position may be assigned to any of the following areas during their two-year position: Operations (maintenance, grounds, housekeeping, & tech trades), Projects, & Technology (IT & AV).
Graduate Assistant - Athletics Facilities/Sports Technology will have the opportunity to gain practical experience from multiple supervisors and build positive relationships with various professionals in the field. In addition, this position will develop a wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of the Operations side within the Department of Athletics.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Enrollment or acceptance into a University of Arkansas graduate program and/or law school
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Sports Recreation or Technology related field
Interest in working in intercollegiate athletics
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Excellent organization, oral and interpersonal communication, analytical and writing skills
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, professional environment and meet established work deadlines
Ability to work evenings and weekends
