General Summary
The Eastern Michigan Athletics Marketing Graduate Assistant will assist with efforts to coordinate and implement marketing activations in order to increase overall attendance and improve the gameday experience at all home athletic events. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Assistant Director of Marketing, this position will work to strengthen program visibility, brand awareness, and school spirit across campus and throughout the greater community.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Kinesiology, Communications, Business, or a related field is required.
Strong interpersonal skills, high energy, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community are required.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, is required.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently are required.
Understanding and working ability with Adobe Creative suite is preferred.
Previous experience with a sports organization is encouraged.
Additional Information:
Ability to work up to 20 hours per week (10 for 50%) is required. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Admission and enrollment in a graduate program is required. Maintenance of a 67% course completion is required. Enrollment in at least six credits for Fall and Winter semesters is required.

The Graduate Assistant position is appointed for one academic year, with an option to renew for a second year. Candidates must be enrolled full-time and must satisfy the University's requirements to serve as a graduate assistant.
