Job Description

The University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking a  Graduate Assistant - Athletics Marketing and Fan Engagement  for the 2026-2027 term, with a potential renewal for 2027-2028.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute marketing strategies aligned with the department plan to drive attendance and boost fan and student engagement
  • Plan and manage all aspects of game day operations for assigned sports, including themed games, halftime entertainment, student sections, cheer/pep band coordination, community partnerships, and video board production
  • Lead fan experience efforts and create a positive, energetic atmosphere at all events
  • Prepare timing sheets and event scripts to ensure seamless coordination of all game presentation elements
  • Collaborate with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to promote a spirited and supportive athletics culture
  • Support major departmental events, including Sparty Awards, championship hosting, and postseason tournament games
  • Assist with creative marketing campaigns and content development, including graphics, signage, and video board content to strengthen the athletics brand as needed
  • Work with the mascot for game days, community events, and other appearances as needed
  • Creative mindset to design engaging fan experiences and solve challenges innovatively
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure successful execution of all marketing and game day initiatives
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Perform other duties in support of the University's Mission
