Graduate Assistant - Baseball

Saint Joseph's College of Maine is accepting applications for the position of GRADUATE ASSISTANT - BASE** BALL**! This GA position is a 10-month appointment running from August 2026 - May 2027.

DUTIES ASSOCIATED WITH POSITION : 

• Assists with Leadership and Team Management
• Assists with the management of the Sport Program Development and Performance
• Ensures Athletic Department collaboration and compliance
• Development and execution of a recruiting plan that yields 6-8 additional students each year. This includes identification of qualified prospects, consistent communication with prospects, hosting campus visits, converting prospects to deposits
• Develop practice plans 
• Develop game schedule 
• Travel planning
• Home contest organization
• Assisting the varsity program

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** :**

• Bachelor’s degree
• Must be matriculated in a graduate degree program at Saint Joseph’s College before the actual start date for the GA position
• Remain in good academic standing (including a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate progress toward a degree

NUMBER OF HOURS PER WEEK ANTICIPATED : 0-20

A Graduate Assistant may not exceed 20 hours per week in their GA position. A GA may work concurrent employment off campus with prior permission from the supervisor providing the assistantship, with the primary consideration being that the additional hours do not compromise the student’s academic progress or their assistantship responsibilities. Graduate Assistants are not permitted to work additional assignments, beyond their GA position, at SJC. 

TIME REQUIREMENTS:  Available for 20 hours per week

EMPLOYEES WILL REQUIRE ADDITIONAL TRAININGS:  Working in a Hot/Cold Environment, Bloodborne Pathogen
