The responsibilities of the Graduate Assistant Coach for Men’s Soccer are to assist the Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach in conducting all aspects of the Men’s Soccer program within the philosophy and guidelines set forth by Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, the NAIA and the River States Conference. The Graduate Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach will report directly to the Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach and perform all duties assigned, including.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in meeting the assigned recruiting and roster size goals for each year.
• Assist in monitoring the academic progress of student athletes in the men’s soccer program.
• Assist in budget oversight for the men’s soccer program.
• Comply with all policies of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and the Department of Athletics.
• Assist in monitoring the social behavior of all student-athletes in the men’s soccer programs.
• Assist with the implementation of team and individual practices/development programs.
• Assist in providing a program that is complementary to the mission of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
• Perform all travel associated/required with recruiting and the day-to-day operations of the men’s soccer program.
• Assist the Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach with marketing and promotional materials.

• Demonstrated abilities to work effectively in a small college setting and the ability to balance student-athlete needs within a student development perspective.

• Will supervise student-athletes.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University.
• Valid Driver’s License/State ID preferred.
• Previous demonstrated playing/coaching experience in the sport of men’s soccer.
